We are looking for a Plumber and Maintenance Worker to join our team. As part of the Plumber and Maintenance Worker role, you will work within the Building Services department to ensure the YMCA Bournemouth estate is maintained to a high standard, working within management guidelines and ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed. You will carry out commercial and domestic plumbing works across the Association, including basic maintenance and other trade duties as directed, such as basic carpentry, painting and decorating, and tiling.
This Role Will Involve - Repairing and installing new plumbing and sanitaryware across the YMCA Bournemouth estate. - Installing replacement sanitaryware, baths, shower trays, level decks, and associated equipment. - Installing new pipework (copper, Speedfit, waste, and rainwater systems). - Installing sundry items such as taps and ball valves. - Carrying out general building maintenance, including decorating, tiling, and other basic maintenance tasks.

The post holder will take responsibility for ensuring safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk as a priority and follow both YMCA Bournemouth safeguarding policy and BCP Safeguarding Children Partnership and Dorset Safeguarding Children Partnership statutory guidance. Employment will be subject to satisfactory references, right to work checks and a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
If the role involves regulated activity with children or adults at risk, your employment will be subject to an Enhanced level DBS check prior to commencement date.
