Primary Teacher

Primary Teacher Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire ⏰ Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Flexible Options Available) About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and inspiring Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in Barnsley. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupil achievement, and contributing to the wider school community. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum. Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment. Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress and attainment.

Differentiate learning activities to meet the needs of all learners. Foster pupils' social, emotional, and academic development. Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals. Contribute to school activities, events, and the wider life of the school. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK. Experience teaching within a primary school setting is desirable.

Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Ability to motivate, inspire, and engage young learners. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Strong organisational and planning skills. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). Desirable Qualifications & Experience Experience teaching across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2.

Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Knowledge of assessment frameworks and pupil progress tracking. Evidence of continued professional development.
