Whether you are a recent graduate or a seasoned professional, we offer a diverse range of opportunities where you will be challenged and encouraged to grow.The Process Safety Engineer supports and maintains compliance with site process safety management (PSM) programs to help Monument Chemical achieve its production, quality, cost, safety, and environmental goals.Essential FunctionsDevelop, improve, and implement site PSM programs.Manage, coordinate, and implement all 14 elements of OSHA's Process Safety Management standard.Lead premlimary Hazarous review for existing and new processes.Provide Process Safety Review for MOC program.Participate and/or lead Root Cause InvestigationsSupport teams implementing new products and processes.Provide process-safety technical assistance to site management and staff.Support the development of Monument Chemical best practices and design standards.Execute Process Safety Engineering Related projects and PHA action itemsWork with Operations to define and resolve process-safety and design issues.Coordinate with Maintenance, Operations, Construction, Purchasing, Logistics, and other internal groups.Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company's core values, competencies, and skills.Education QualificationsRequired Bachelor's Degree Chemical Engineering from oan accredited university Experience QualificationsRequired 1-2 years of production experience andRequired 3-7 years experience in similar role Skills and AbilitiesExcellent communication skills, personal rapport are required to effectively work in a team environment engaged in process safety activities Knowledge of State/Federal EPA and OSHA compliance regulations.

Knowledge of all PSM elements Knowledge in PHA and LOPA analysis. Experience with PHAPRO preferred. Proficient in Microsoft applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint. Ability to work in a diverse team environment including interactions with technical staff, administrative staff, business team leaders, and contract personnel. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to present complex topics in a concise manner.

Ability to lead a project or technical team. Ability to accept and respond to changes and challenges in a positive manner. Demonstrated capability to analyze problems and provide accurate solutions. Demonstrated skills in time management and managing multiple priorities. Critical thinking skills and ability to constructively resolve conflicts. Strong interpersonal skills, essential in dealing with people at all levels and in a variety of functions including technical staff, business team leaders, union personnel and be able to influence and motivate others to quickly achieve results.

Must have generic competencies of analytical thinking, communication and interpersonal understanding, initiative, team work and team leadership, and quality orientation/attention to detail. Develop and own process-safety plans and technical content. Maintain knowledge of applicable standards and reliability, maintenance, and process-safety requirements, including ASME, API, and NFPA standards. Develop process-safeguarding narratives.
