The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that deliver value for money, supplier performance, compliance, sustainability, and operational excellence across the care home group. The role ensures the organisation secures quality goods and services at competitive prices while supporting resident care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and achieving commercial objectives.

The Procurement Manager will manage supplier relationships, contracts, tender processes, and procurement governance across all homes and support functions., Strategic Procurement Develop and implement group-wide procurement strategies. Deliver measurable cost savings and value improvements. Identify opportunities for procurement efficiencies and standardisation. Monitor market trends and supplier performance.

Support business growth, acquisitions, and new home openings. Supplier & Contract Management Manage strategic supplier relationships. Lead contract negotiations and renewals. Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are achieved. Conduct supplier performance reviews. Reduce supplier risk and improve supply chain resilience. Category Management Key spend categories may include: Food and catering supplies Agency staffing Utilities Medical consumables PPE Furniture and equipment Maintenance services Laundry and housekeeping supplies IT and telecommunications Capital expenditure projects The Procurement Manager will: Develop category strategies.

Benchmark pricing and quality. Consolidate spend where appropriate. Identify alternative suppliers. Financial Management Deliver annual procurement savings targets. Track budget performance. Monitor purchasing compliance. Produce procurement reports for senior leadership. Support cost management initiatives. Governance & Compliance Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies. CIPS Level 4 or above (or working towards).

Degree or equivalent experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, or Business. Experience Minimum 5 years procurement experience in Care Experience managing supplier contracts. Strong commercial negotiation skills. Experience delivering measurable cost savings. Multi-site procurement experience. Strong stakeholder management capability.
