Monitor production output, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
Ensure production plans, staffing, shift coverage, and workflow are effectively managed. Control production costs, scrap, consumables, and overall departmental performance. Ensure compliance with quality standards, legal requirements, first-off approvals, heat treatment processes, and product traceability. Drive prompt resolution of quality issues and reduce scrap through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Oversee machine reliability by ensuring preventative maintenance, TPM activities, and timely escalation of equipment issues. Lead, coach, develop, and discipline employees while managing attendance, performance, training, and skills development. Maintain accurate ERP transactions, works orders, production records, and stock control processes. Champion Lean Manufacturing, 5S, visual management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with PPE, safe work practices, incident reporting, and safety inspections. Complete accurate production reporting, scrap analysis, and comprehensive shift handovers. Take ownership of operational performance, make sound decisions within authority, collaborate across departments, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
