Job Summary:The Production Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations within an assigned area, shift, or production line. This role provides hands-on leadership to production employees, ensures safety, quality, and productivity standards are met, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. The Team Lead serves as the primary link between operators and management, driving performance, engagement, and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:Lead and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targetsAssign work, balance labor, and ensure adequate coverage for production needsMonitor production output, downtime, scrap, and efficiency; escalate issues as neededEnsure adherence to standard work instructions, SOPs, and production schedulesProvide day-to-day direction, coaching, and support to production team membersTrain new hires and cross-train team members to support operational flexibilityPromote a positive, respectful, and accountable work environmentSupport performance management through feedback, attendance monitoring, and documentationEnforce safety rules, PPE usage, and safe work practices at all timesConduct safety talks, audits, and incident investigations as requiredEnsure products meet quality standards and support root-cause analysis for defectsPartner with Quality and Engineering to implement corrective actionsIdentify and drive improvement opportunities related to safety, quality, productivity, and costParticipate in Lean, Kaizen, 5S, or other continuous improvement initiativesSupport process improvements, equipment optimization, and waste reduction effortsCommunicate production goals, priorities, and shift handoffs clearlyEscalate equipment issues, material shortages, and staffing concerns promptlyMaintain accurate production, downtime, and labor records in ERP/MES systemsCollaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, and Supply Chain teamsOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required3-5+ years of manufacturing or production experience1-3 years of experience in a lead, senior operator, or supervisory capacityLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure or certificationStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflowsBasic computer skills (ERP/MES systems, Microsoft Office)Preferred Qualifications:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related fieldExperience in a regulated manufacturing environment (ISO, FDA, GMP, etc.)Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skillsClear verbal and written communicationProblem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environmentHigh attention to detail and commitment to safety and qualityCompensation:The pay range for this position is $33.65/hr to $38.46/hr.

Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time and will not require sponsorship either now or in the future to obtain an employment visa.
