University of Nebraska Omaha is hiring a Project Manager who will oversee, coordinate, and execute programs within the Center for Competencies, Skills, and Workforce Development, focusing primarily on competency-based education and Skills Lab initiatives. The role involves translating leadership priorities into implementation plans, managing projects through all lifecycle phases, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and developing scalable processes while reporting to the Executive Director.
Highlights Manage full project lifecycle for competency-based education and Skills Lab initiatives, including planning, execution, and transition to operations. Coordinate with faculty, academic units, university offices, and external partners to navigate processes and deliver project milestones. Develop repeatable processes and tools to support efficient implementation and scaling of initiatives.
Monitor compliance with higher education regulations and institutional policies, addressing risks and deviations. Support center-wide projects, metrics, and reporting systems to align with strategic priorities. Provide guidance and resources to faculty and program teams, including training and technical assistance. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant project management or educational administration experience.
Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, project management certification (PMP), experience with academic settings, and familiarity with project management platforms and educational innovations. Salary range is $60,900 - $75,000 annually, exempt status, full-time position with a standard Monday-Friday schedule. Reports to the Executive Director within the Innovative and Learning-Centric Institution division, supporting complex university initiatives.
