Role: Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner / Clinical Nurse Specialist Location: Dayton OH Duration: Minimum 3 Months (possible extension) Hours: 24–30 hours per week Schedule: Monday – Friday Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Clinical Nurse Specialist licensed in Ohio to provide psychiatric and mental health services to the female population at a correctional facility in Dayton, OH.
The assignment is expected to last approximately 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and facility needs. Responsibilities Clinical Duties • Provide direct psychiatric and mental health care services • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and psychopharmacological assessments • Formulate diagnoses and treatment plans • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications • Order, review, interpret, and analyze laboratory tests • Manage care for offenders in crisis situations • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure integrated patient care • Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary meetings • Provide consultation and supervision to nursing and mental health staff • Maintain clinical competency and participate in quality improvement activities Required Qualifications Education • Minimum: Doctoral Degree Licensure & Certifications • Active Ohio Medical License • ANCC Certification (for nurses) • Healthcare-professional level BLS/CPR certification • DEA Certification (required) • Psychiatric-Mental Health experience required
