Total Compensation: $140k-$150k We are seeking a dedicated PMHNP to join a mission-driven behavioral health team providing comprehensive psychiatric care in an outpatient setting. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an interdisciplinary team committed to improving access to high-quality mental health services for diverse populations throughout New York City. What You'll Do Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for adults with a wide range of behavioral health conditions.
Develop individualized treatment plans and provide ongoing psychopharmacological management. Maintain an active caseload of patients requiring medication management and psychiatric follow-up services. Collaborate closely with therapists, case managers, primary care providers, social workers, and community partners to ensure coordinated care. Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and clinical discussions to support quality patient outcomes.
Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with organizational, state, and federal requirements. Provide consultation and psychiatric expertise to members of the clinical team when needed. Assist with evaluations related to supportive housing and community-based services as appropriate. Support continuous quality improvement initiatives and contribute to best practices in behavioral health care.
Engage in ongoing clinical supervision and professional development opportunities. Qualifications Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license. Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Demonstrated experience providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management in outpatient, community-based, behavioral health, or integrated care settings.
Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, behavioral health treatment models, and evidence-based psychiatric care. Excellent communication, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills. Experience working with underserved, vulnerable, or high-acuity populations. Familiarity with harm reduction, trauma-informed care, housing support services, HIV care, substance use treatment, or community mental health programs.
