The Swiss company, headquartered in Langenthal, Switzerland, employs around 400 staff, operates its own research and development centre in Switzerland, and has additional production facilities in Europe. To strengthen our procurement team, we are looking for a committed individual for our headquarters in Langenthal as Purchaser (m/f/d) 100% Field of activity As a member of the Supply Chain Planning team, you are jointly responsible for ensuring the worldwide availability of our approximately 8,000 different sales items You are responsible for the timely and quantity-appropriate operational procurement of raw materials, including organising the corresponding collection transports Together with strategic purchasing, you evaluate suppliers and continuously optimise the diverse purchasing processes You create forecasts for customer demand, process inventory reports from various warehouses, and derive supplier orders as well as production orders in our domestic and foreign plants In a continuous improvement process, you conduct analyses and continuously manage lead times and master data in the ERP system Requirements Commercial basic training with further education in procurement, AVOR/PPS, procurement, logistics or comparable experience Several years of professional experience in production planning, AVOR, purchasing or disposition Very good user knowledge of ERP systems (SAP advantageous) and MS Office Good German and English skills, both spoken and written Structured working method, strong affinity for numbers Networked thinking, decisiveness and perseverance Team player mentality and assertiveness Benefits of the position A responsible and varied role with plenty of scope for design Flat hierarchies with short decision-making paths A collegial and international team that gives its all daily and does not lose its sense of humour even in stressful times.
