We are seeking an experienced QA Tester to join a global payments organisation based in Dublin City Centre on an initial 6-month contract. You will play a key role within the QA function, working closely with software developers, business analysts, product owners and other stakeholders to ensure that high-quality, reliable solutions are delivered to customers. The role operates on a hybrid working model, with 3 days per week required in our Dublin City Centre office. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and execute manual test cases based on business and technical requirements. Perform functional, integration, system and regression testing across applications and services. Identify, document and track software defects through to resolution. Work closely with developers and product teams to investigate and resolve defects.
Review requirements and user stories to identify potential quality risks and gaps in test coverage. Support the creation and maintenance of test plans, test scenarios and test documentation. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, refinement and retrospectives. Execute end-to-end testing across complex systems and integrations. Validate data and system behaviour across different environments.
Support release and deployment activities, ensuring appropriate testing has been completed before production releases. Communicate testing progress, risks, issues and results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards and practices. Essential Experience & Skills Proven commercial experience working as a QA Tester / Software Tester within a software development environment.
Strong experience in manual testing, including functional, integration and regression testing. Experience creating detailed test cases and test scenarios from requirements or user stories. Strong defect management and troubleshooting skills. Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development environment. Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and QA methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively with developers, business analysts, product owners and other stakeholders. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
