However occasional travel to other sites may be required What you'll do As a Quality Assurance Officer, you'll be responsible for: Supporting the QA Manager with day to day technical activities. This includes leading third party BRC / EHO audits and inspections in their absence, to ensure the sites certification / approval status is maintained Deputising for the QA Manager on the site HACCP team and carrying out validation work and trend analysis to support the sites HACCP plan Assisting with the introduction and implementation of food safety and quality procedures for day-to-day manufacturing operations Leading management meetings and presenting technical information as requested by the QA Manager Providing technical support for site product recalls and withdrawals and leading incident calls in the absence of the QA Manager Leading or supporting root cause analysis and corrective and preventative action (CAPA) activities arising from food safety and quality incidents Monitoring and maintenance of the product testing requirements, including analysis of results and instigation of investigations and corrective action plans Supporting the site with the management of non-conforming products and complaint investigations Driving operational standards by completing internal audits in line with the sites internal audit schedule Supporting the development, coaching and training of QA Team members to build capability and ensure consistent application of food safety and quality standards Supporting the QA Team in achieving their targets, objectives and development plans Driving a food safety and quality culture across the site through coaching and engagement activities We are looking for individuals who are driven, and can demonstrate: A Degree or HNC level education in a Food Science-based subject HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 4 qualifications A good understanding of BRCGS requirements and experience participating in internal and third-party audits Proven experience in investigations and internal audits with strong attention to detail Proven leadership experience, with strong decision-making and report-writing skills The ability to make sound decisions under pressure and respond effectively to food safety or quality incidents A results-focused approach, with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others The ability to build effective relationships with colleagues across Logistics, Production, Engineering and Supply Chain functions Experience supporting, coaching and developing colleagues to achieve individual and team objectives Experience of managing multiple priorities and working calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams A commitment to promoting an inclusive culture that values and celebrates difference A desire to learn, develop and work alongside great people as part of your Greggs journey Competitive pay 21 days (4.2 weeks) annual leave, pro-rated, increasing with service, plus bank holidays and 1 additional floating day Colleague discount, up to 50% off our own-produced products Paid breaks Free hot drinks while on a shift break Profit share: We want everyone to share in the success of the business, so we distribute 10% of our profits to all our employees who have at least 6-month service, or more, each year Share save schemes t
