Radiology Technologist – Multiple Openings | Oregon Permanent & Full-Time Direct Hire Radiology | Hospital-Based | Evening & Weekend Shifts A hospital-based imaging department located in eastern Oregon, approximately three hours east of Bend, is seeking experienced Radiology Technologists to join its diagnostic imaging team. Two positions are available , offering alternative schedules that include evening, overnight call, and weekend coverage.

These opportunities are well suited for experienced technologists seeking longer shifts and compressed workweeks. Schedule Two permanent, full-time positions available Hospital-based radiology environment Opening 1: Monday–Thursday, 2:30 PM–1:00 AM (10-hour shifts), with overnight call Monday from 1:00 AM–7:00 AM Opening 2: Thursday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM (12-hour shifts), with overnight call Saturday from 7:30 PM–7:00 AM On-call responsibilities required for each position Schedule details to be discussed during the interview process Call requirements may vary based on departmental needs Duties & Responsibilities Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to established protocols.

Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and explain examinations clearly. Verify patient identification, clinical history, and examination orders. Position patients appropriately for diagnostic examinations. Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively. Select appropriate imaging techniques based on the examination ordered. Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists and physicians.

Evaluate images for technical quality and obtain additional or repeat images when appropriate. Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition. Respond to urgent and emergent imaging requests as needed. Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation. Follow radiation-safety and ALARA principles. Perform quality-control procedures and report equipment issues appropriately.

Maintain compliance with departmental, regulatory, safety, and quality standards. Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, technologists, and other healthcare professionals. Provide compassionate and professional patient care. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment. Participate in quality-improvement initiatives.

Perform additional radiologic responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Previous Radiology Technologist experience required. ARRT certification/registry required. Appropriate Oregon radiologic licensure required. BLS certification required. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required. Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning, anatomy, radiation safety, and image quality.

Demonstrated ability to independently perform diagnostic radiographic examinations. Hospital-based imaging experience preferred. Strong patient-care and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Strong critical-thinking and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment. Ability to participate in overnight and weekend on-call coverage.

Ability to respond appropriately to urgent and emergent imaging needs. Commitment to patient safety, diagnostic quality, and regulatory compliance.
