We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Southampton as our new Recreation Supervisor. The Recreation Supervisor reports to the Recreation Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the hotel's recreation facilities and programs, including pools, beach, spa, golf, and kids' camp areas. This role ensures a safe, clean, and engaging environment for guests while supporting the Recreation Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
The Recreation Supervisor leads and mentors the Recreation team, monitors operational standards, and contributes to program development., Operations & Safety Oversee daily operations of all recreation facilities, including Beach Club, Spa Pool, Golf, Resort Pools, and Kids' Camp areas. Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are maintained at all facilities through daily inspections and staff training.
Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations in all recreation areas. Ensure the Recreation team has all resources, equipment, and guest amenities required to deliver high-quality service. Program Support Support the Recreation Manager in developing and implementing recreational programs and activities. Recommend ideas and content for programs and events, including seasonal and holiday activities.
Assist in monitoring guest participation and providing feedback for program enhancements. Team Leadership & Development Supervise, mentor, and coach the Recreation team to maintain high standards of service and professionalism. Assign daily tasks and schedules, ensuring adequate staffing coverage for all recreation areas. Support performance management by providing feedback, coaching, and guidance to team members.
Guest Experience Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and urgency. Ensure that all recreation activities are delivered with a focus on personalized, anticipatory service. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of recreation programs and guest experiences. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate records of program participation, equipment usage, and incident reports.
Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and tracking equipment. Prepare daily or weekly reports as requested by the Recreation Manager. Other Duties Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall success of the Recreation department and resort operations. Education Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field preferred.
