Key Responsibilities Customer & Stakeholder Management Leading, coaching, and motivating Sales Agents Conducting regular performance reviews, field visits, and coaching sessions Building a high-performance, values-driven sales culture Achieving Principal Volume / Value budgets through the Sales Agent network Conducting regular trade audits and providing feedback about sales performance (actual versus desired) Executing winning In-store Initiatives, including Price Reporting/Competitor Activity Executing Principal Brand Plans on shelf, personally and through the Agent Network Executing Principal Promotional and New Product Developments, personally and through the Agent Network Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and channel partners Managing escalated customer issues and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction Collaborating with Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to deliver customer solutions Planning, Reporting & Administration Preparing and managing regional sales forecasts, budgets, and plans Analysing sales data, market trends, and competitor activity Submitting accurate and timely sales reports and insights to leadership Ensuring compliance with company policies, pricing structures, and governance standards Market & Business Intelligence Monitoring competitor activity, pricing, and promotional strategies Providing market feedback to influence product development, pricing, and marketing initiatives Qualifications A completed Sales or Marketing degree (essential) Honours in Sales or Marketing (advantageous) A valid RSA driver's license (essential) Experience and Requirements Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in a sales environment Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a regional or multi-branch environment Experience managing dispersed teams across multiple locations The incumbent must be computer literate and be able to use the Office suite (including MS Word, Excel and Outlook) with at least basic proficiency Willingness to travel (the role requires extensive travel) Key Skills / Competencies Results-driven and accountable Planning skills and the ability to execute plans Negotiating and conflict management skills Strong commercial insights and reasoning ability Interpersonal skills and the ability to work across teams Ability to work with and interpret large amounts of data Attention to detail Knowledge of the industry
