Job Title RN (Registered Nurse) – Hospice Location Fargo, ND | Hospice Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | Onsite | Work week: Sunday through Saturday. Expected 36 hours/week for 12-hour shifts, or 40 hours/week for 8–10 hour shifts. Key Responsibilities Provide hospice palliative care to assigned clients and families in accordance with individualized plans of care, demonstrating knowledge of hospice philosophy, scope of services, and continuity of care Perform initial and ongoing client assessments, participate in the creation and implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care, and evaluate clients' needs for additional services Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, process physician orders, and involve clients and families in care planning decisions Complete required documentation within appropriate timeframes and participate in quality assurance audits as assigned Recognize diverse cultural attitudes toward death and dying; identify stages of the grieving process and the impact of grief on clients and families Participate in agency in-services, educational opportunities, team meetings, and committees Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Active RN license for the state of practice required ; must hold or be able to obtain a Minnesota nursing license or temporary MN license to support cases in Minnesota CPR certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required Must be at least 18 years of age Must live within 80 miles of the facility to be eligible for local placement consideration Preferred Experience / Skills Prior experience in hospice or palliative care nursing Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while knowing when to seek guidance Familiarity with advance directives and interdisciplinary care coordination Why Join Us Opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing compassionate end-of-life care to patients and families during a critical time Work within a collaborative interdisciplinary team environment with a focus on holistic, patient- and family-centered care
