Registered Nurse ICU

Job Title Registered Nurse – ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Location Baltimore, MD | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Every other weekend required Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a 29-bed, non-aggregated ICU serving Medical, Surgical, Coronary Care, Neuro, and Trauma patient populations including adults and geriatrics Manage high-acuity Neuro and Trauma interventions, multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, and cardiac and vasoactive drip titration Perform dysrhythmia interpretation and management in a fast-paced critical care environment Operate specialized equipment including IABP, CRRT, EVD, and Arctic Sun/cooling blanket systems Document patient care accurately using the Cerner electronic health record system Float to IMC or other appropriate critical care areas based on facility needs and within scope of competency Required Qualifications Valid Maryland RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience required Neuro ICU and Surgical ICU experience required Level II trauma experience required ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required ATCAR or equivalent trauma education required (candidates may complete a Maryland-approved trauma course to satisfy this requirement) Prophecy Relias Advanced EKG assessment required with a passing score before proceeding (must be submitted by the agency) Local candidates are welcome and accepted Preferred Experience / Skills Teaching hospital experience preferred Level I trauma center experience preferred First-time travelers are welcome to apply 4x12 schedule may be available — inquire at time of submission Why Join Us Work in a high-acuity, specialized ICU with an average daily census of approximately 26 patients, offering meaningful clinical challenge and professional growth Gain experience across a diverse critical care population including Medical, Surgical, Coronary Care, Neuro, and Trauma — with exposure to advanced equipment and interventions
