Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Location Charlottesville, VA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7pm–7am, 3x12-hour shifts) | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Every other weekend required | Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays | Block scheduling is not available | Time off around Christmas is not available Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a 27-bed General Medicine unit serving a variety of disease processes across Respiratory, Endocrine, Cardiac, Immune/Infectious Disease, and Renal systems Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management throughout the shift Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility float policy Participate in unit orientation including completion of specialty-specific modules Required Qualifications Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date) Epic EMR experience required BLS certification required Nursys verification required at time of submission Must comply with facility float policy within scope of practice Maximum expected time off of 40 hours per 13-week contract; all requested time off must be disclosed at submission Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit) Preferred Experience / Skills ACLS certification preferred but not required BSN preferred Prior experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing Why Join Us Opportunity to work on a dynamic general medicine unit with exposure to a wide range of complex patient populations and disease processes Flexible expected hours with the option for 36 or 48 hours per week to fit your scheduling needs
