Job Title Registered Nurse – Rehabilitation Location Smithville, MO | Inpatient Rehabilitation Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on an inpatient rehabilitation unit with a patient ratio of 1:6 across all shifts and an average daily census of 10 Manage a diverse caseload including pulmonary conditions, cardiac conditions, neuro/CVA, orthopedic recovery, debility, and amputation patients Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and respiratory treatments as ordered; manage BiPAP/CPAP devices with preprogrammed settings for chronic conditions Administer and monitor a broad range of clinical skills including blood and blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, anticoagulation therapy, wound care, and neuromuscular disease management Float as needed to other medical-surgical/intermediate units, including the ED for inpatient holds, based on greatest facility need Chart using EPIC EMR ; complete required infusion pump and glucometer training prior to start date Required Qualifications Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — pending licensure not accepted; both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact license covering both states) required at time of submission due to floating requirements BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers accepted Proficiency in a broad range of clinical skills including IV insertion and maintenance, venous blood draws, foley catheter removal, NG/PEG tube management, oral/nasotracheal suctioning, stroke scale assessment, and fall risk assessment/prevention, among others Availability to work 8 weekend shifts (Friday/Saturday/Sunday combination) per 6-week schedule period Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; no local candidates accepted Preferred Experience / Skills Prior experience in inpatient rehabilitation, neurology, orthopedics, or cardiac nursing Familiarity with EPIC EMR; ability to test out of EPIC training module is an option Experience with assistive devices, mobilization techniques, prosthesis application, and specialty beds Background working with patients requiring diabetic teaching, seizure disorder management, or traumatic brain injury care Why Join Us Opportunity to work in a structured inpatient rehabilitation environment with a consistent shift schedule and a manageable patient census Gain experience across a clinically diverse patient population in a facility that supports travel clinicians, including first-time travelers
