Physical Therapist General Information Minimum Years of Experience Required: 1 year (industry standard) First-Time Travelers Accepted: Yes Patient Population The Physical Therapist will work with a diverse patient population, including: Medically compromised patients: CHF, COPD, DM, Cardiac Orthopedic and neurological conditions Dementia and general weakness Ages vary from early adulthood to geriatrics Qualifications Required Certifications: SD Licensure BLS Certification Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy Skills Required: General physical therapy skills, including but not limited to: Patient evaluation Determining effective interventions Medical assessment Development of care plans Departmental Support The Home Health Department team comprises of: Registered Nurses (RN) Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) Occupational Therapists (OT) Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) Aides and Case Managers Medical Social Workers (MSW) Operational Details Charting System: EPIC Floating: Position will cover the Southern Black Hills area, including: Hot Springs, SD Custer, SD Edgemont, SD Hill City, SD Hermosa, SD Surrounding areas Mileage Reimbursement: Reimbursed at the current IRS standard mileage rates Orientation: Approximately 1 week, including EPIC orientation, shadowing, and documentation processes Scheduling: Monday through Friday operations Weekend Rotation: None Holiday Expectations: Office is closed on six major holidays Time Off Approval: Managed by supervisor approval Additional Notes Scrub Color: Any color of scrub is acceptable, or business casual attire (no denim or sweatpants) Free Parking: Yes
