gel electrophoresis, polymerase chain reaction (PCR))Responsible for tissue preparation and immunohistochemistryOrders supplies (equipment, reagents, expendables)Cultures media and prepares solutionsTrains other staff membersGeneral ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the initiation, monitoring, completion, and reporting of routine to moderately complex research studiesOrganizes and implements data review and analysisOversees the proper handling of laboratory specimens including processes, shipping, storage, and documentation and transfer to designated central laboratoriesConducts data quality assurance practicesPrepares research summaries and assists in progress report developmentMaintains laboratory work areas and supply inventoryQualifications Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.
