The Research Translation and Innovation Manager plays a key role in the operational delivery and continuous development of LIHE's MedTech translation and acceleration programmes. The role oversees the delivery of LIHE's flagship MedTech Venture Builder programme, translating programme strategy into effective operational plans and coordinating activity across the wider team. It also provides direct leadership for key programme activities, supports academics, clinicians and ventures in navigating translational funding opportunities, and contributes to programme reporting, stakeholder engagement and wider ecosystem activity.

The role reports to the Head of Clinical Translation and Governance and works closely with the Venture Manager and the wider LIHE team. The postholder will provide day-to-day coordination and operational oversight across programme activities, support effective prioritisation and delivery within the team, and represent LIHE's MedTech translation and acceleration activities internally and externally.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: Essential criteria PhD or equivalent relevant experience in supporting research translation, innovation and/or commercialisation. Demonstrable experience of delivering multiple complex projects, programmes, courses or comparable initiatives within a research, healthcare, innovation or life sciences environment, with the ability to translate strategic objectives into practical plans, processes and deliverables.
