Purchasing Assistant - (Maternity Cover) Crawley, West Sussex (On-site) Alexander Lloyd are partnering with a well-established business based in Crawley to recruit a Purchasing Assistant on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced purchasing or supply chain professional to join a fast-paced environment focused on inventory management, forecasting, supplier coordination, and stock optimisation.
Key Responsibilities Manage inventory levels to maximise stock availability and minimise shortages Analyse sales trends and forecasts to support purchasing decisions Raise purchase orders and manage supplier deliveries Build strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners Support new product launches and lifecycle management activities Monitor inbound shipments and proactively resolve supply chain issues About You Previous experience in purchasing, inventory planning, or supply chain roles Strong Excel skills, with Power BI experience advantageous Experience working within a distribution, wholesale, or B2B environment Organised, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities Please hit apply if you are interested and available to start at short notice.
