RF Systems Engineer

RF Systems Engineer Salary: Up to £57,500 depending on experience Location: Bristol Working pattern: Hybrid, typically 2 to 5 days per week on-site depending on workload Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship Are you an RF engineer looking to broaden your systems engineering experience, or an experienced systems engineer interested in developing your expertise within advanced RF communications?

This is an opportunity to join a growing engineering team working on sophisticated RF communication systems across the full product lifecycle, from research and early concept development through to detailed design, integration, proving and production. The Opportunity As an RF Systems Engineer, you will contribute to the development of high-performance communication systems within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

The role offers the opportunity to work across a range of technical activities, depending on your experience and interests, including: RF and microwave systems engineering Requirements management and systems design RF systems modelling and analysis Antenna systems Waveform design and implementation Real-time digital signal processing Software and firmware integration and proving System-level functionality proving Design reviews across the product lifecycle Environmental and qualification testing Design certification and transition of development hardware into production Technical research based on published engineering literature Technical leadership and mentoring of junior engineers Working with external suppliers alongside procurement teams The team is particularly interested in engineers from a range of backgrounds, including RF and microwave engineering, systems engineering, modelling, signal processing and related technical disciplines.

You do not need to have experience across every area listed. The role can provide an opportunity to build your knowledge in adjacent technical disciplines while applying your existing engineering expertise. What We're Looking For You may be a strong fit if you have experience in some of the following areas: RF or microwave systems Systems engineering and requirements management Systems design and integration RF modelling and analysis Signal processing Waveform development Antenna systems Real-time digital signal processing Systems modelling and autocode generation Software or firmware integration Verification, validation and system proving Product development and qualification Technical leadership or mentoring This role would suit engineers who enjoy working at the interface between different engineering disciplines and who want to contribute to technically challenging products throughout their development lifecycle.
