The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment providing high-quality patient care. Patient Types Coronary artery disease STEMI Cardiogenic shock Complex total occlusions Diagnostic catheter procedures Valvular disease Renal disease Carotid stenosis Limb salvage Peripheral stenosis Thrombosis disease Impella insertion LVAD insertions Patient Ratios RN to Patient Ratio: 1:1 Required Certifications Registered Nurse (RN): BLS, ACLS Cath Lab Tech: BLS, ACLS, RT or equivalent, or RCIS Required Education Registered Nurse: Completion of a nursing education program approved by a Board of Nursing Cath Lab Tech: AA/AAS Degree Skills Required For Registered Nurses: Critical patient assessment skills Vasoactive and sedation drug administration Sterile technique Air management Laser and lithotripsy atherectomy skills Cardiac cath lab and peripheral IV skills Devices Used IABP Impella Rotoblator Penumbra Orientation & Schedule Orientation: 4 days (10-hour shifts) Weekend Rotation: Every 4 weekends On-Call Expectation: 1-2 days per week and every 4th weekend Holiday Expectations: Possible, one per assignment Charting System EPIC (required) Epic Cupid (preferred) Alaris Omnicell Support on the Unit CNA: Not applicable Charge Nurse: Monday-Friday, 0600-1630 Phlebotomy: Not applicable IV/VAT Team: Not applicable Additional Information Free Parking: Yes Scrub Color: Provided for procedural roles All nursing positions will rotate between day and night shifts.
