Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse Location Cleveland, OH Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night 3×12-Hour Shift: 19:00 – 07:30 Day 3×12-Hour Shift: 07:00 – 19:30 Job Description The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse will provide specialized care for patients aged 0 to 25 years in a high-acuity setting. The role includes monitoring and managing patients with complex medical conditions, including epilepsy, and utilizing advanced care techniques.
Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU. Perform epilepsy monitoring and handle specialized medical equipment. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans. Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform necessary medical procedures. Educate families on patient care and discharge planning. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in pediatric intensive care.
Active Ohio nursing license or compact state license in hand. Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required. Experience with EKGs and inotropes is mandatory. NIHHS certification preferred.
