Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse Location Arizona (specific facility not disclosed) Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 hours scheduled, 24 hours guaranteed) Job Description We are seeking experienced Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurses for a critical care role focusing on direct open-heart recovery.
Candidates should have a solid background in managing complex cardiovascular patients, including those on Impella and balloon pump therapies. Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to CVICU patients. Monitor patient progress and administer necessary treatments. Collaborate with healthcare teams during patient care interventions. Utilize advanced cardiovascular care techniques and equipment.
Participate in patient and family education regarding pre- and post-operative care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 24 months of CVICU experience with recent practice within the last 12 months. Active RN license with no hits on state license to practice. Life support certifications from AHA, ARC, or ASHI (BLS, ACLS). Experience with Impella and balloon pump management preferred.
