Charge Nurse – Dialysis Schedule This position offers a 4×10 hour shift, primarily scheduled from 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Some weekend and occasional Sunday shifts may be required based on departmental needs. Job Description The Charge Nurse will oversee the daily operations of a 24-chair outpatient chronic and acute dialysis unit, ensuring optimal patient care and staff support.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and be capable of managing a dynamic team in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities Manage nursing staff and facilitate smooth operations within the dialysis unit. Provide direct patient care including administering dialysis treatments and medications. Monitor patient progress and respond to any complications or emergencies. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the Epic charting system.
Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 1 year of experience in dialysis nursing, with charge nurse experience required. BLS certification is mandatory.
