Nursing Director – Inpatient Care Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Director to oversee Inpatient Care, including medical/surgical units and the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The Nursing Director will be responsible for providing leadership and management of nursing operations aimed at ensuring high-quality patient care, safety, and overall service excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the operations of medical/surgical units and the ICU.
Assume 24-hour accountability for nursing care activities and service operations. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and physicians to implement policies, procedures, and standards that enhance nursing care. Utilize sound human resource and financial management principles to guide the provision of nursing services to patients and families. Ensure optimal nursing care through comprehensive patient and family services.
Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; Master’s degree in nursing preferred. Current licensure in the state of Maine as a Registered Nurse or Compact licensure in good standing. Specialty and leadership certification preferred. Minimum of less than one year of relevant experience. Shift Information This is a full-time position with a standard schedule from Monday through Friday.
