Emergency Department Registered Nurse Location New York Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Day Shift: 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM (4 shifts per week) Job Description The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include assessing patients, managing complex trauma cases, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities Evaluate and manage patients in emergency situations, including trauma and medical emergencies. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor and interpret vital signs and laboratory results. Provide instruction and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care. Coordinate with healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care. Report and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department or Level III Trauma Center. Current New York State RN license in hand. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC required. Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory. Travel experience is preferred but not required. Why ARMStaffing?
