Registered Nurse – Emergency Department Location Corpus Christi, TX Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Shift: 7A-7P Job Description The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on patient safety and compassion. The role requires quick decision-making and effective communication with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
Responsibilities Perform initial assessments and reassessments of patients. Administer medications and manage IV starts. Provide wound care and splinting as required. Engage in documentation and oversight of emergency medical technicians (EMT-Ps). Rapidly identify and manage conditions such as Sepsis, STEMI, Stroke, and Trauma. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Must possess current RN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification. Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification. Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or equivalent certification. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification. Experience with airway management and ventilators preferred. Strong critical thinking skills essential.
