Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) Schedule 14:30 – 03:00 Job Description As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN), you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. This position involves working with a diverse patient population, including infants, children, adults, and geriatric patients. You will actively participate in the evaluation and management of various emergency conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction (MI), and cardiac arrest.
Responsibilities Assessing patients and determining appropriate nursing interventions. Administering medications and IV therapy, including required drips and medications such as pressors and sedatives. Performing patient monitoring and documentation using the EPIC EMR system. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care. Floating to other departments as necessary. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department with pediatric experience.
Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications are mandatory. Active New York State RN License with a valid NURSYS report for license verification. Must live a minimum of 75 miles away from the facility or be considered a local traveler. Completion of a skills checklist matching the specialty is required. Why ARMStaffing?
