Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift Assignment Duration This is a long-term contract position. Schedule Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, operating on a flexible schedule with no guaranteed block scheduling. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care for patients in an Emergency Department setting.
Responsibilities Deliver nursing care to patients of all ages including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Triaging and managing acute patient conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Utilize specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of effective patient care.
Participate in the charge nursing role as needed. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including floating to different areas as required. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current and active New York State RN license. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing, including pediatric experience. Travel experience required. Current AHA certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
