Neuro ICU RN – Night Shift Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night shift, 3×12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00). Job Description We are seeking a skilled Neuro ICU RN with strong experience in handling high acuity cases involving cardiovascular issues, multi-trauma patients, gunshot wounds, strokes, STEMI receiving, and post-surgical care. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate effective teamwork.
Responsibilities include managing patients in a Level 2 Trauma and Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center. Responsibilities Care for patients with neurological and cardiovascular conditions. Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies. Participate in the multidisciplinary care team for patient management. Provide support during procedures such as CABG, valve repair/replacement, and administration of blood products.
Manage ventilator-dependent patients and those with multi-system organ failure. Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required. Current RN license and certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and LA City Fire Card. Travel nursing experience preferred. Charge RN experience is advantageous.
