ICU/CCU Registered Nurse Location Not specified Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Nights/Rotating shifts required, with a commitment of 80 hours every 2 weeks. Must be open to working any shifts without exceptions. Job Description The ICU/CCU Registered Nurse will coordinate and provide care to meet the individualized age-appropriate needs of patients across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
The position involves working in an ICU/CCU that offers specialized services for surgical patients and those with serious respiratory and/or cardiac conditions. Responsibilities Provide patient care in a 4-bed unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2, adjusting for acuity as necessary. Assist in the care of patients on ventilators, with additional nursing staff called in as needed. Collaborate with the healthcare team, including after-hour PACU recovery and emergency room services.
Complete orientation and competency binder during onboarding, which includes 1-2 days of unit orientation with the nurse manager and staff RN. Float to OB, MS, PACU, and ER as determined by individual competency levels. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current RN license required. ICU/CCU experience preferred.
