ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Information Location: Wichita, KS Unit: Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) Number of Beds: 26 Number of Staff: 15 Type of Staff: Day Shift: 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech Night Shift: 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech Patient Ratios: 1:2; 1:1 for high acuity including post-CABG patients (estimated ratios, not guaranteed) Type of Equipment: Balloon pumps; CRRT; Hypothermia; ECMO EMR: Meditech Qualifications Required: Minimum 1 year of current hospital ICU experience ACLS, BLS, NIH, and TNCC certifications Preferred: Prior experience traveling to large trauma facilities Typical Procedures Trauma patients Post-CABG and Post-TAVR care General post-surgical ICU patients Chest tube management Central line placements Administration of medication drips Ideal Candidate Profile Driven and organized Efficient in performing nursing tasks Possesses a positive attitude and is engaged in patient care Additional Information This is a competitive opportunity in a challenging ICU environment equipped with modern technology and a collaborative team.
