Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (Night Shift) Location Not specified Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 3×12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) with every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Job Description The Registered Nurse in this role will provide high-quality care to laboring patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Traveling nurses are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities Administer medication and perform medical procedures as necessary. Respond to high-risk deliveries and assists in surgical procedures like C-sections. Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, including fetal heart rates and labor progress. Utilize EMR (EPIC) for charting and patient documentation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
Active Registered Nurse license required upon submission. ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications required; AWHONN Intermediate preferred. Experience with EPIC charting system is necessary.
