Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery Location Elko, NV Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night shift: 19:00-07:00 Job Description The Registered Nurse in this role will primarily work in the Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive care to patients during labor and delivery, as well as postpartum and nursery care.
The position requires floating to Med/Surg & Psych units as needed. Responsibilities Manage patient care during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases. Conduct assessments and provide care for newborns in the nursery setting. Perform fetal monitoring and interventions, including management of pre-eclampsia/eclampsia and hemorrhages. Administer necessary medications and assist in patient triage.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Must have at least 2 years of experience in L&D, postpartum, and nursery nursing. Current BLS, NRP, ACLS certifications required.
