Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry Unit Overview This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) within a 10-bed unit primarily focused on general medical patients and surgical patients awaiting procedures. This is a rapid admission unit, with patient turnover occurring more swiftly than in typical medical surgical units. Job Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the MedSurg/Telemetry unit.
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Manage patient admissions and oversee care for multiple patients efficiently. Monitor and assess patients’ conditions and respond to changes appropriately. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment plans. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in MedSurg/Telemetry nursing. BLS and ACLS certification required. Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication. Work history with no gaps exceeding 60 days. Skills checklist and references may be required.
