Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry Position Overview The Registered Nurse in the MedSurg / Telemetry unit is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients admitted to a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This unit accommodates general medical and surgical patients who are awaiting surgery, ensuring timely and efficient admissions. Key Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care in a MedSurg / Telemetry setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes. Manage a patient load with a ratio of 5:1, demonstrating the ability to prioritize and adjust based on patient needs. Perform necessary clinical procedures and interventions in accordance with established standards. Assist in the rapid admission process of patients, maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in MedSurg / Telemetry specialty. Current BLS and ACLS certification is required. Proficiency in clinical skills and ability to work independently. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations and healthcare providers. Work history with no gaps greater than 60 days, along with a comprehensive skills checklist, references, and Nursys license verification.
