Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse for a MedSurg/Telemetry unit. This position involves working with a variety of patients, including those requiring admission for general medical and surgical care. The unit is fast-paced, with a quick patient turnover, making it essential for candidates to communicate effectively and work independently.
Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a MedSurg/Telemetry setting. Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Assist in the rapid admission and discharge of patients on a busy unit. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Qualifications Current BLS and ACLS certification required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the MedSurg/Telemetry specialty. Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently. Patient Care This role involves managing a patient ratio of 5:1, allowing for focused and individualized care to each patient.
