Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med/Surg and Telemetry unit. This unit focuses on the admission of general medical and surgical patients who are awaiting procedures. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg and Telemetry setting.
Assist with the rapid admission and discharge processes, ensuring a smooth patient experience. Monitor patient conditions and communicate effectively with healthcare team members. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Educate patients and their families about ongoing care and treatment plans. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing.
Current BLS and ACLS certification required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. No gaps greater than 60 days in work history. Skills checklist, references, Nursys license verification, and certification card must be provided. Patient Care Environment This position is located in a 10-bed admission unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5:1. The rapid turnover of patients requires adaptability and efficiency in nursing care.
