Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Shift: Night 3×12-Hour (19:00 – 07:30) Floating Required: Per facility needs Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; Every other holiday Job Description The Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The RN is responsible for monitoring patients’ conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs and overall health. Interpret and manage dysrhythmias using appropriate interventions. Utilize Rapid Response and Code teams as needed for urgent situations. Provide education to patients regarding their conditions and care. Administer medications, oxygen therapy, and peripheral line management. Ensure compliance with isolation precautions and other safety protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 1 year of recent Med-Surg/Tele experience required. Current New York State RN License is required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
