Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Unit Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night shift 3×12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with weekends as needed. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care across various medical-surgical units. The nurse will be expected to work on weekends and major holidays as required by the facility.
Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients, including medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and managing complex patient conditions. Utilize the EPIC charting system for thorough documentation and communication with the healthcare team. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care plans and procedures. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Float to various medical-surgical floors as needed, adjusting to team and patient needs. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting. Active RN license with no hits. Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are required. Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is preferred. The position may involve caring for COVID patients; therefore, the COVID-19 vaccine is required, with medical or religious exemptions allowed.
