Registered Nurse – Stroke Telemetry Unit Schedule 07:00 AM – 07:00 PM Job Description The Stroke Telemetry Unit is a high-acuity, fast-paced medical-surgical environment specializing in the care of acute stroke and complex telemetry patients. Our 34-bed unit is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, protocol-driven care with a strong focus on patient safety, rapid intervention, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities Perform and document frequent neurological assessments, including NIH Stroke Scale. Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond to changes in real time. Ensure compliance with stroke core measures such as dysphagia screening, education, and care plans. Administer medications using BCMA standards, focusing on safety and accuracy. Coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team including providers, therapy, and case management.
Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow within a high-turnover environment. Maintain a constant focus on falls prevention, skin integrity, and patient safety. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current RN license. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIH. Ability to read basic rhythm strips. Why ARMStaffing?
