Registered Nurse – MedSurg/General Surgery Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Day shift, 4×12 hours (07:00 – 19:30) preferred. Will consider 3×12 hours as well. Rotating weekends and holidays required. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our MedSurg/General Surgery unit. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients and will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care in a MedSurg/General Surgery setting. Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes accurately and timely. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans. Participate in call rotation and respond to urgent situations as necessary.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Must possess a valid SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license. BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. Three years of nursing experience in a MedSurg or similar environment preferred. Candidate must be able to float within scope to meet facility needs. Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
