Registered Nurse – MedSurg/General Surgery Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night shifts: 4×12-Hour (19:00 – 07:30) Job Description A Registered Nurse is needed for a MedSurg/General Surgery unit. Candidates who are willing to work holiday shifts are a priority. The manager prefers 4×12 hour shifts but is open to 3×12 hour shifts as well. Responsibilities include overseeing a patient ratio of 1:6, occasionally 1:7, and participating in on-call rotations.
Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a MedSurg/General Surgery setting. Administer medication and monitor vital signs. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Conduct patient assessments and document findings in the electronic health record using EPIC. Facilitate pre and post-operative care for various surgical procedures. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience is highly preferred.
Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN License. BLS and ACLS certifications are required, with ACLS preferred. Previous charge experience is preferred.
