Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Unit Location Salem, VA Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Medical Surgical Unit. Ideal candidates will be team players with a strong patient advocacy spirit, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This unit specializes in the care of post-operative patients, including maintaining drains and performing wound care.
Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care for post-operative patients. Maintain and monitor drains as needed. Conduct dressing changes and manage wound care effectively. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Active RN license in the state of Virginia. BLS certification is required. Experience with post-operative patients is preferred. Competency in dressing changes, wound care, and drain management is preferred.
