Registered Nurse – Cardiac/Tele Stepdown Unit Location Not specified Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 12-hour shifts, days from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., weekends as scheduled. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiac/Tele Stepdown Unit will provide high-quality care to patients with cardiac conditions. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort in a 29-bed unit, responsible for monitoring cardiac patients, administering medications, and titrating drips as necessary.
Responsibilities Manage and monitor patients recovering from cardiac procedures and surgeries. Titrate medications such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Heparin. Perform assessments, interventions, and evaluations for cardiac patients. Work closely with Respiratory Therapists for managing CPAP and BiPAP equipment. Interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient status.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care and procedures. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Experience in cardiac care and the ability to titrate medications is essential. Why ARMStaffing?
