Registered Nurse – Cardiac/Tele Stepdown Unit Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 12-hour night shifts, with weekends as scheduled. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care in the Cardiac/Tele Stepdown Unit, focusing on monitoring and managing patients with cardiac conditions, including those recovering post-operatively from lung surgeries and other cardiac procedures.
Responsibilities Care for patients with cardiac diagnoses, including AMI, post-cath, and post-operative surgeries. Administer and titrate medications and drips as required, including cardiac gtts such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Heparin. Monitor patient vitals and interpret telemetry strips using Phillips monitors. Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care. Manage respiratory treatments and equipment such as CPAP and BiPap in conjunction with respiratory therapy.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory. Experience in titrating medications and administering cardiac drips.
